Who the h*ll gets letters these days? Did you send in your application via passenger pigeon?

As someone who has run Boston I can say it is worth doing. That being said I feel bad for those that just barely hit the standard to only be told sorry you didn't make the cut off.
The " Mega Marathon" is worth experiencing in a town you'd want to visit and have the interest in researching. Otherwise the exorbitant entry fees and other expenses aren't going to be worth it. Never mind the logistics of 20-50k people crowding the streets.Great work on your success

You spend 6 months getting ready why run a local turkey trot.. when you can have a killer day on a cool course...

Sara Palin wrote:The cut off calculators had 0 seconds cut. Is there a reason the registration rate jumped up so much?
The number of qualifier slots was reduced from 24,000ish to 23,200ish.
I should have said I knew that. The number of slots was good for about 36 seconds of cut, so that leaves 93 seconds for registration rate. Reduction of qualifier slots was a big part, but less that half of the eror in the projections.

God I wish there were 4th and 5th and 6th placed medals and then after that of course a participant or finisher medal.

You're thinking of the African Swallow.
Just run faster?

Cool story bro.
I beat my qualifying time by 22 minutes averaging 35 miles a week and doing my only run over 13 miles (20) 10 days before the thon and I also have absolutely no interest in running with the sheeples.
