Ah, thanks for clearing it up. But really? Moving the NAIA championship won't do anything, I doubt any non runners care, the only thing that comes out of this is that its an inconvenience to the runners and schools.
By moving it, the host school or venue then has reason to be pissed at the legislature of the state. At a certain point, the state government will get a report that says, "We had X number of organizations pull their events from our state over this gay stuff, including the Electric Boogaloo Festival, the Cross Dressers National Convention, and the NAIA Cross Country championships."
So no one single event is really noteworthy, but when dozens or hundreds of these events that do generate at least some money for the state pull out, they will take notice... maybe...
FWIW I support both sides in this. NC is free to create laws of behavior for its citizens. Private organizations are free to do business in that state or not. No big deal if you ask me.
