Nothing could go wring with that, right?

Are these clowns going through with this? I'm hoping for a chorus of boos. what a joke.
The entire school is tone deaf.
Doesn't bother me
You'd think after what happened at Baylor, they would know better. Sticking your head in the sand when your coaches or players are committing sexual assault is not acceptable.

Didn't attend PSU. Why should I care about this?

The NY Times is completely full of sh&t. Haven't you figured this out yet?
Gondak is a Paterno fan. You will never hear him disparage Paterno.
Penn State had a choice — and it picked Joe Paterno

The student journalist at the College newspaper was threatened and harassed by students, faculty and alums alike. What a horrible shathole that school is.

Paterno was too popular and so had to be destroyed by the powers that be.
It was disgusting to watch those jackals go after an old man with lies and innuendo. A guy on his staff who Paterno fired was accused of child molestation and this was used to smear Joe Pat. By people who have done far worse.
For Chrissakes he was sheltering a guy that molested boys. Only fired the sick bustard to protect the image of the school and his own.

Oh, so if he had been molesting girls it would have been hunky dory with you?
The hypocrisy is absurd.

Only the warped mind of a Penn State Shathead would come to such a ridiculous conclusion! Your school sucks little boys ducks!
I wonder is Slagowski knew the kind of place/people he walked into? He must have know the kind of warped esteem Paterno is accorded at State Penn.

Agree, Paterno when told of what Sandusky did IMMEDIATELY notified campus police, once the police (Campus, Local, State, etc. Example if the local police are notified of a crime that the FBI should get the local police would notify the FBI) are notified on a legal matter, it is in their hands. AND Sandusky was a FORMER Assistant football coach under Paterno, once you become a former employee your boss has no authority over you.
Paterno was all good his Students Graduated and became solid citizens as well as won football games, 1 time I read a Penn State Football player got a littering ticket and Paterno made the entire team clean the Stadium the day after the game, showing that there are consequences for bad behavior and as a team everyone is let down when one does wrong.
Paterno is all good and people always try to bring successful people down, that what this is about.
As a guy who grew up in State College and attended PSU for undergrad, I really wish we could just leave the past in the past with regard to the Paterno issue. Yes, the guy did some good for the university and for the people who played under him. He was also willingly involved in something unimaginably horrible. It's over now. Let's just put it all behind us and move forward.
Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
You seem to prefer a thought of "It happened. Exnoledge it and then forget about it"
That's not how it went down at all.
Here's how the protest went down from both Temple and PSU fans. "He turned his back, so we'll turn ours."
http://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/penn-state-honors-joe-paterno-as-fans-from-both-teams-protest/Yeah, the one PSU alum I know has stopped giving them any money. He knows they f'd up big time and refuses to have anything to do with them. totally disgusted. maybe even devastated.
