This exchange was about Cytomel. Cytomel is a thyroid medication. You do not need a TUE for thyroid medication.

This has been discussed many, many times here, and elsewhere.

This is why there was so much outrage when WADA told the USADA it would not add thyroid medications to the prohibited subtances lists.

This is not a little one-sided. After all, his athletes could have similarly had such therapeutic use exemptions. Instead, they dope and cheat in every way conceivable.

What ways do they cheat?

So what way? And please don't bring up the Testosterone notation from when Galen was 15.

Salbutamol was taken off the "out-right" banned list in 2010 (well, 2009 or 2010, I can't remember), and replaced with a threshold. (1000 parts per something something, in urine). (At the same time, pseudophedrine was placed on the banned list...)

Just another example that what seems to be clear conclusions about drug use are complicated by different rules: thresholds vs. presence of a substance, in competition vs. out of competition, back dated vs. predated. It's complicated, and a TUE isn't the whole story.

With the "backdating", many times it might be that the athlete applied 21 days ahead of time with X given as the start date, but the bureaucrat rubberstampers didn't act until a few days (or more) after X. More interesting would be the date of application, which is not given as TUE forms AFAICT.

No, that is exactly the opposite of what you said. You babbled about Cytomel, Kara and avoiding a TUE.

You do know that you can't get a TUE for Cytomel, right? Cytomel is not on the prohibited substance list, so they don't even test for it.

You are ignorant. Cytomel is a prescription drug. Only a doctor can prescribe it, and the prescription is person-specific, and has a time limit. Salazar is not a doctor. Instead he hands out prescription drugs to whomever he wants whenever he wants.
