It does

It sucks to be over 12.
Ages 10-12 are the sweet spot in life.
School is no pressure at that point.
You aren't concerned about getting laid.
No problems with relationships.
No rent or mortgage. You have no bills or responsibilities at all, really.
You can feed yourself and do most things that you want on your own.
Your main focus is to play.
You just need a ride now and then.
Awesome! Well done.

Yes.
30-35 have been the best years of my life.

My middle-aged or a senior is what?
When I ended serious running, it has been downhill from that on. Except that my child was born when I was 30. I can only remember the feeling when I had young body and running was almost effortless and recovered quickly, and could train so hard that it´s impossible these days. Those years were the best time of my life. "Only" 35yr old now, but it´s very different to be 35 with 20 yrs of running in my body than sub 30. But no regrets, only wish I shouldn´t have to learn everything the hard way, by myself.

Thats not necessarily true. I feel great at 33 and play every day! Run the roads..run the trails.. ride the bike. Job I like. The key is not getting jammed up with a woman. Women grab fun by the collar take it behind the barn and old yeller it

Not true, the key is to find someone that allows you to be you. My wife isn't a runner but she knows how important it is to me so she supports me 100%.

Exactly, the other posts on here are depressing me. Sure, you can't beat up your body like you could when you were 20. But your 30s only suck if you act like you are still 20. If you treat your body like its 30, your life is exponentially more fulfilling. Hint - life is about way more than running.
I was depressed to turn 30. Exhilarated to turn 40.
Correct, not young anymore. We are mortal, we all die. It's he big joke on us all.
However, it's always the present, where we have the most power over our lives. Choose wisely what to do. Me, I work for myself... I often choose to pay myself in time (to run, make art, and more) instead of $$$.

Can't wait! Respected, fulfilled and super fit! Life is good. Being young was really a waste of time.

Hey 50+, being over 50 doesn't get you respected... how about ignored?
I'm over 50, it's fine. Beats being dead. I have a house in Portland and a house in Mexico, no debt, a cute youngish wife, and can run whenever I want.
