I quit running, just like most high school runners. I'm sure I could be running low 14's by now, and make no money, no sponsors. Instead I found that XC runners have an insane pain tolerance, and that any caliber runner who gave it 100% in most of his races, can easily transition to weightlifting.

I also ran a track website, which i quit, and started working on my novel (no association to running). I still think about running a 2:09 marathon @ boston, but alas, in another lifetime. distance running is hardshit, so much sacrifice, and so (relatively) little rewards. Think about it, you put in that much work and pain in fianace, and your a millionaire, making 6 figures, or at least have wealth to take care of you, and jetski in Virgin Islands or St. thomas. I actually stopped vising letsrun for 4 years, and it was 100% better that way. Life off letsrun = an actual life.
