Two things--perhaps the people of Maryland, DC, and Virginia should tax themselves to a level required to construct the needed infrastructure to support their population. 40 miles in three hours is unacceptable. I have no sympathy for a group of taxpayers who would subject themselves to that.
Second, the train to Baltimore from DC-and multiple points between-drops a person off right at the front gate of Camden Yards. And the trip from DC is less than an hour, as I recall, and there is frequent service, all day long.
