"Sir" Bradley Wiggins was outed as a drugs cheat and nothing much happened.

Why do the Brojos not grab ahold of this? It would be a MASSIVE surge to their website. Is it because of their relationship to Paula Radcliffe and her husband coaching Farah that they don't?
Well yes, there is that, plus it would be terrible for business to expose this charade, with British Athletics and UKAD and IAAF, and by extension WADA, all part of it.
Bad for whose business? I certainly would be very interested if a high-profile cheat got busted - much more interested than in any of the elite marathon race results these days. Lance Armstrong's outing seemed to generate a huge amount of media interest with an Oprah interview and Hollywood movie to boot. And now he hosts a podcast which seems to be doing very well - in fact rather then being punished, Armstrong's confession to doping seemed to elevate his status to many people and he has somehow managed to present himself some sort of cool family guy. It's incredible really. WADA and the UCI are organizations that have continued on, in fact they seem to have been largely unaffected by the whole Armstrong charade.
I agree with you that governing bodies try to keep things covered up, but when things to get uncovered the governing bodies seem to be the last organizations to be held accountable regardless of their responsibility for any wrongdoing .
Looking at the Kiptum bust just before the London Marathon, he seemed to be the perfect sacrificial lamb to make it look like the governing bodies are actually tackling doping among elite athletes. He is a world record holder but not at an Olympic distance and he had not been made into a media superstar by any sponsor.
Cover ups are exactly why we need a brave journalist to out the truth. This has been happening far too long.
