BTW, "microdosing" is very misleading, when you bring up your T/E ratio from 1:1 to 3.999:1 (masking with epitestosterone would allow for even more T doping).
Likewise, one could use EPO to increase Hb from 14.2 to 16.2 g/dl and get away with it, as for example Paula's 2012 case showed, i.e. by a whopping 14%. More is possible, if one optimizes altitude/EPO/blood doping to decrease the reticulocytes - irrelevant for performance, but decreasing the off-score and thus not triggering a blood passport investigation.
Not very micro. I also wouldn't call that grey zone, but controlled or limited doping because of the use of forbidden, performance enhancing drugs. Virtually all cyclist did that, when the Hct limit was put to 50%.
