That was incredible. That looked like a genuine accidental fall that just happened to be 1 meter from the finish line.

Have you not witnessed the careers of AlSal and the rest of NOP? Classless.
Please. Rupp looks like a beat dog. He was hanging with Ward and Meb while mustering energy for his post-race workout.
What time does the race start on the west coast? Thanks in advance.
Rupp quoting Happy Gilmore as running around Rio: "Damn you people, go back to your shanties!"

Meb sues Sketchers for terrible traction.
Get's lifetime Nike contract to coast out the rest of his life.
Stranger things have happened, no?
Meb needing attention obviously.
Rupp is a man.
He got it done.
We are all proud of you .

Somewhere Salazar is smilling and slow clapping.
Say what you will about him...the man gets results.
Some things are more important than results. Like how you treat others. And Salazar treats others like dirt.

wejo wrote:Wow. Jared Ward 6th.
Brojos, please feel free to officially apologize to Ward now. This was literally the ONLY mention you gave of Ward in your preview:
"Jared Ward has a history of running well in the heat (he won the U.S. marathon title in LA in 2015 and obviously qualified at this year’s Olympic Trials in LA) but we don’t see any way he medals in Rio. So let’s break down the two Americans with a shot."
You said absolutely nothing else of him.
Granted, he wasn't really close to medalling, but 6th at the Olympics is no joke and he deserved far more attention and respect than you gave.
Please apologize.
Absolutely, they have been so far off on Ward, there credibility is severley hurt, didn't even have Ward as top 6 in the trials let alone the Olympics, if they dont appologize and admit they were way of then there credibilty is official done with respect to Marathon projections anyways.
Meb helping out the other finishers. Pure class.
It's amazing how much better Rupp has gotten at interviews.
The definition of classless is Lilesa doing 100 yards of hand signals and bullcrap right before the finish line. And then he ignores Rupp and stomps around the finish line mat. All over silver? Bro you didn't win. You don't get to come to the line like your Dez Bryant after a game winning touchdown. Idiot.
It was definitely an accidental slip and fall on the wet ground. Looked dangerous to me like he might've pulled something, but did some pushups and popped back up.
Feeling for Meb who must've been shooting for more, but also celebrating his amazing career. His first Olympics were 16 years ago!

Because Ward pulled him out of an interview genius
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
WAY TO GO GALEN!!!! I was biting my nails while praying for you....and
Jared...WOW! Like WOW!!! Good for you! You were a wonderful surprise!
Hi to Ed!
Meb.....what a career...and push ups no less. Aloha!
CONGRATULATONS! GO USA!
What was the Happy Gilmore reference Rupp made? I was watching the BBC stream and turned it off when they cut away.
I just watched the whole thing on TWC NBC. Don't know if there will be a rebroadcast.
RUPP-- I was wrong he could medal--Bronze.
Wonderful race for WARD in 6th

Consolation prize mentality. The best of the non-winners.
