She's right. The race was unfair. The issue needs to be addressed with kindness and compassion towards those who have no control over their physical advantages, but they shouldn't be in the same race. Women's sport as we now have it will change.

Read this article for education on your ways of thinking
Found this amazing article online:
http://everydayfeminism.com/20...-athletes/This really is an excellent article. I like this part the best
"2. Ask: “What does racism and nationalism have to do with my ignorance and comfort with questioning, if not humiliating, others?â€"
I think that explains most of the narrow mindedness that goes on around here.
Hi JusticeForCaster. We have universities educating people so as to be able to choose for themselves what articles they read.
Your preferred quotation (which you have posted on another thread) seems to suggest that you are a misogynist who wants to keep women in their place, and mistakes a genuine understanding of all discrimination issues with flicking through a few random articles on the internet and pulling out quote that suit your version of the world. Discriminate against women, block all their attempts to enjoy their lives in an equal way at all points. Why not have races for all, I hear you cry? Instead of separate mens and womens races? Because of biology. We recognise, as a civilised society, that for true equality, we need to recognise and protect certain characteristics.
But why doesn't Semenya and Niyonsaba and Wambui run against the men? At the moment, we have the mens 800m and the womens and moderate mens 800m. Semenya has too heavy a built to be competitive with the men, Niyonsaba just isn't fast enough and Wambui has a poor running style. Maybe if they trained harder and got in better shape, they could race the other men?
Justice is not preferring someone because they were given an unfortunate operation shortly after birth to correct one of the most common birth abnormalities in male children, just because they were born poor and black. Its about treating people equally, and exposing the truth about all forms of cheating.
I doubt that you have enough focus to process this reasoning though.
In the competition between racial discrimination and discrimination against women, the former always wins. That is what we really need to challenge.

Not as much as we enjoy seeing the fall of Kenyan dominance that, by total and complete coincidence, comes in a year where they've cracked down on doping.

Celebrate Caster overcoming social and probably racial discrimination to get where she is. No easy feat. It's good that there are people willing to fight for her rights. And tonight she did all of the people who value all humans equally proud.
It's an awful lot easier to "overcome" when you're a man in every aspect but your genitals and you're competing against women. If you value humans equally then surely you at least feel bad for the women who have to compete against Semenya.
Let's be real and honest, this is BULLSH!T. Totally a slap in the face to women's sport. The CAS should be ashamed of themselves. This is not even a human rights issue at all. We should have bots race the men and award them medals too.

You people throwing around the "SJW' pejoratively are directing your anger in the wrong place. People who fight for social justice are completely in the right.
I don't think people use "SJW" pejoratively, I think they use it ironically. What those people fight for is rarely actual social justice, and screaming into the void of the Internet from behind a keyboard hardly qualifies one as a warrior (though they likely see themselves that way).

She was born with a genetic variation. All woman running at an elite level already have the genes that 99.9% of woman don't have, Caster just more so.
Men are born with some genetic variation from women too. And based on those particular variations, we have the men and women compete separately. Caster has more in common with those men than those women. For a good explanation of why these two categories can be logically delineated, read up on the statistical and epistemological background of taxometrics.
One point I think needs to be addressed is the state of women's 800m running right now.
The women in the 1500 were able to close in 1:58. Why is 1:57 considered a time that should get you a medal?
What's more, why are the female 800 runners so slow? Rudisha and a few others can run 45 points. Where are the 51/52 400m runners in the women's 800m?
Also why do the women in the 800m lack so much endurance? Some of the men who aren't speedsters in the men's 800m can run low or sub 3:30. Where are the sub 4 1500m runners in the women's 800m? What would Dibaba run for 800m?
This problem caused by CAS is compounded in the women's 800m because the depth and talent is so poor. Dutee Chand was eliminated easily in the 100m.
In my opinion, 2:00 is not a gold standard that should guarantee a woman passage to the 800m final. It should barely get you in the games.
Does being transgender also mean you lose the ability to spot sarcasm
Sorry I do not agree.
She needs to run harder and stop crying.

It's not.
But being one of the first three women to complete the race should get you a medal.

You are totally stupid.

You need to run with the men and stop acting like a pu`ssy.
Caster didn't overcome anything. Caster was born with an extra chromosome and it made Caster stronger and faster than women. Instead of erring on the side of the 99.99%, the CAS erred on the side of an unfortunate person and screwed everyone else.
Caster is both man and woman. CAS should either make caster compete against men, or compete against XXY.
Caster should be allowed to run...in the men's race. We should always round up, not down. Every woman who lost a medal, lost a position or was displaced from the final was cheated.
Maggie Vessey Yes; Maggie Wambui No.
What are the chances the W800 XX women will stage a protest in the WC next year? It is either that, or watch their event descend into the mire of gender politics. Lelisa has risked his life for his beliefs; will women risk their careers (although it isn't a risk if their careers are inevitably usurped by imposters)?
Definitely protest. Just stand at the line after the gun goes off and wait 10 seconds. Then run their race and award themselves medals based on their finish.

But wait 30 seconds, so there will be 2 different races.
Really though, the protests should be going on long in advance so it doesn't get to that point, and women will have our own races again.
It's f'ing ridiculous to ask the same powers that be who can't see that artificial limbs can provide an unfair advantage to rule that excessive testosterone in "women" also provide an unfair advantage...
Good points here
