who are you deciphering what the "experts" say. Are you a doctor? You know how to decipher dr's diagnosis?
If not, and you want to talk on this, then anyone else can talk too.

In my limited understanding XY testing was what the IAAF used to do in the 80s or 90s. If it's so easy or simple, why did they move away from it?
They should definitely still be doing that, and also set a low limit for testosterone.

Lynsey Sharp's pb for 400 is only 54.43 set this year. She simply doesn't have the speed to be one of the best 800m runners. To be really world class at the event a woman needs 51 second speed or better.
I knew a guy in college who ran 46.4 for the quarter.
His fastest 800 was 2:09, dying, and he ran 25 minutes for 3 miles.
54 is fast enough, and she doesn't focus on the 400, so the time doesn't matter.

The simplest solution to this is to create two categories:
1) open
2) women
The women's category would need to establish specific parameters in order to compete. These could be set in a way to ensure that only actual women compete.
The open category is just that, open. It would obviously look just like the men's category we have now, but would technically be open to those like Caster. She wouldn't be excluded from competing, but would obviously need to improve her pb by about 10 seconds to compete with those more similar to her.

Caster is a woman. She beat a bunch of slower women. They cried and complained. Nothing needs fixing, it's just sports.
Then why didn't he run with the rest of the "women" like him in the men's race?
The REAL women have the right to complain.
This is what she said. Really, people are upset about this?

The Scot said: "It was very competitive. I ran the fastest I've ever run in an Olympic final. I know I can go faster but I'm still happy with that performance.
"The thing I'm most happy with this week is to get through the rounds clean after the disappointment last year. It's actually harder to make the final than it is to run in the final so I was very happy to make the final and to do myself justice."
Addressing the controversy, Sharp told the BBC: "I have tried to avoid the issue all year. You can see how emotional it all was. It is out of our control. We rely on people at the top sorting it out.
"The public can see how difficult it is with the change of rule but all we can do is give it our best."
This year's 800 was not faster to get bronze than it has been in the last three Olympics other than 2012. However, 2012 was not materially slower than this year.
Basically Bish would not normally get a medal with 1:57:02, so why are people assuming extra T is causing faster times than women usually run?
You forgot to exclude the Russians. Natural vs. Synthetic.
This is clearly hate speech. She's a racist and probably attends KKK meetings in her spare time. I mean, Goebbels sounds like Gandhi compared to this one.
I'm guessing steroids might be involved too, given the utter rage behind her statements.

Now why don't you be a good little white girl and sip your frappucino while watching Gilmore Girls.
Right on!
Why do so many of your posts express your own racism?

But there probably are enough prejudiced people to take Caster's gold away, which I'm sure you're very happy about.
I don't know who you are, but you should hire someone to argue your position because you're not very good at it.
Ditto.

You are actually stupid. You clearly know so little about this subject; you should not ever post about it again.
Do you not think if Caster had been judged to be a man by the courts that she would be allowed to compete as a female? You are beyond idiotic. This ruling is all about hyperandroginic women. It's a condition that causes higher that normal testosterone levels in some girls. Where have you been?

Caster is intersex. The word intersex makes it pretty clear she is not a woman. She's also not a man. She's intersex: a mix of the two sexes. Since women's races are protected for women she should not be running in them. They should make a rule change to make it clear that mens races are open races so that there is no question that any intersex athlete can compete against men if they are able to run fast enough. Non-females competing in womens races is a shameful thing. Not shameful on Caster, she is just following the rules, but shameful on the governing bodies for allowing this farce to happen.

How is Sharpe's statement hateful, especially in comparison to what you just now posted?
In fact, you are showing that your position is the hateful one.

Actually, she is right. Semenya has been judged by the courts to be a man,
who identifies as a woman, and that's why they said he's not subject to testosterone limitations.
I don't agree with their conclusion, but that's what they said.

Yeah. It isn't at all what they said. And if you think it did, please provide evidence.
The courts did not even consider Semenya in particular.

Okay well shameful or not, she is following the rules, so the rule makers should be truly ashamed of themselves for this travesty. I agree intersex athletes should have enough pride to know that it is wrong for them to race in the women's race. But then again this is how they are making a living, so as long as they are allowed to do it they will continue to do it - it's the human way. Many people very often do things that are ethically wrong but within the confines of the law/rules because it is personally advantageous to their life. And while it is still wrong, the greater fault is clearly with those who decided to allow these actions in the first place.
