How about the people that are inspired by Caster representing oppressed minorities and succeeding?
CAS says its fair, so the rest is just privileged sour grapes.
It's not like she's setting world records, so I don't see the problem.

Oppressed??, more like given massive special advantages. They need to start their own inter-sex competitions or sit home like 99.9999% of everyone else.
Also is there anyone with a brain who doesn't think Caster could flirt with sub 1:50?? THERE IS ABSOLUTELY ZERO INCENTIVE FOR Caster to break the World Record, it would only put an even bigger spotlight on the obvious advantage that Caster and the other intersex athletes have. If Caster does smash the world record it will probably be the last race she runs that year and then would probably never compete again.

She comes from a poor place lacking much. She runs to help them and you would deny her this right.
"But consider this: Until 1966, international competitions were still using physical examinations to determine which female athletes could and could not compete. No complicated science. No chromosome tests. No testing of hormones. No scans of internal organs. Just a simple glance at a naked body to ensure that no men were masquerading as women. So it's possible that hundreds of women (and some men, for that matter) have competed, unbeknownst to anyone, with myriad different internal makeups.
And have women's sports imploded?
No. So why would it now?"

The silver medalist is a dude.
The bronze medalist is a dude.
DQ THEM ALL!!
NOW!
OR JUST SHUT WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD DOWN.

WTF does that mean??????
Anyone inspired by a man running in women's events is a TOTAL MORON.
Honestly I think the guy is getting off sexually when he's running in women's events.
And probably this Justice4 poster is doing the same thing posting here on the forum.

So what? That gives him no special privilege.

That makes no sense.
Perhaps try typing in coherent sentences.

She told it like it was! Sadly Eastern Europe is now more free to speak your mind than Western European Countries.

You seem to be going after low hanging fruit on this thread, so I'll ask you again. Do you think that gender identification should be the basis upon which we separate women and men into categories for the purpose of athletics? If not, what criteria do you propose?
Secondly, when you say that it's not a problem because Semenya is not breaking world records, you seem to not grasp the enormous doping problem that has existed in track and field over the last several decades. Semenya is running times that may well be unattainable for non-doped XX women. Nobody who has run comparable times is likely to be clean.
If you can solve the problem of gender categories without being exclusionary or discriminatory, I will tuck my copy of Gender Trouble into a memory box and personally drive to California to tell Judith Butler that feminism's big dilemma has been solved.
not saying we are against them being different. Saying that they are physiologically male, meaning more testosterone and lean muscle, meaning at an advantage over biological women, and that is akin to cheating.

It's wrong to have a "woman" with zero ovaries, undescended testes, who is a lesbian in this unique situation, and has the testosterone level of a man. Enough said. It's not fair because it's not a level playing field.
Would it be fair for Caster semen-ya to have a multi million dollar shoe contract? And for her to be a role model for the younger generation of women who want to succeed in athletics
Just standing up for human rights. Doesn't matter about all the other stuff. We need to evolve as a society to accept everyone. Caster is a positive impact moving society further onto universal tolerance.
I knew it was you Senator Warren, along!!!
Pocahontas Warren you've really got to get back to work.
"The alternative is no categories and a free for al but then we wouldn't see any women in sport any more."
Not true, women will improve their time and compete just fine against men. After all, a woman can do anything that a man can do. I learned that in a Women's Studies course, so it must be true.
This is the problem with bigots like you. You have zero ability to rationally present an argument, so you resort to hurling really off-base insults. It's hardly worth my time or effort to reply, and I certainly have no need to defend myself, but it's fun to point out for the rest of the board. 1) I'm a happily married heterosexual female. 2) I said I supported some form of regulation for participants in women's sport. I don't have the scientific background to say what hormone/physical/other testing that means. 3) I am waiting for the debates before deciding who, if anyone, I will be voting for in the upcoming presidential election.
It must be very sad to go through life in such a way that hatred and fear dictate your every thought and action. Again, my ultimate point was that Melissa Bishop being "gorgeous" should not be a factor in this discussion. There is (some) intelligent discourse in this thread about a very complicated topic, and it's being bogged down by people - on both sides - who are too closed minded or have heels dug in to their positions.
I'm sure you will have some insane, unrelated insult to hurl back. Thankfully I'm hardly one to be ruffled by an ignorant *sshole ranting on a message board.
Lynsey sharpe should shut her mouth and take the loss like the crybaby she is. A poor sixth place and then cry on TV finding an excuse for her failure. Please go home lynsey

"The IOC allowed Caster to run. She didn't cheat. This is just a case of two racists (@LynseySharp & @joannajozwik) being slow & bigots."
"Even if sore losers @LynseySharp @joannajozwik + their white tears formed a coalition, still couldn't beat Caster. "
Lynsey Sharp should have focused more on running.
Hating clearly slowed her down.
"
Twitter and popular sentiment are on Caster's side and my side. We are winning in the court of public opinion. Love wins!
Sure - if you mean by "winning" cherry picking the one or two comments among thousands that think Caster should be able to compete in women's events.
Where is the justice for Melissa Bishop?

Would Semenya be allowed to compete in Judo, boxing or wrestling at the Olympics?. 75KG> I believe she is 160. Judo is 70-78kg.
I believe this would have created an even greater controversy.
I'm happy to read thoughtful comments like those from pr specialist.
