It's unfortunate that any thread discussing intersex gets such sophomoric posters. (Admittedly this thread has no chance of escaping the fate, as it was opened by someone declaring ignorance and with an attitude of refusing to listen to any discussion of science.)

It is also sad, but not surprising, that the sophomoric contributions are coupled with the nasty use of male pronouns for Semenya.

The intersex debate can be handled at an adult level, but this board seems to attract too many noisy and immature posters.

Why did you not acknowledge the rest of my post? Admit where you were wrong. Instead of insulting me, try actually knowing what you are talking about. Even if you consider Portugal to be Hispanic, that does NOT mean that Brazil is Hispanic. What grade are you in?

They ARE isolated comments. You do you realize that there are multiple individuals who write the posts on these boards, don't you? Yes, there have been articles that stated Caster has XY chromosome. For me, that is the crux of this matter. Caster has advantages in heightened level of testosterone, a physical body structure (particularly in hips and legs) more reminiscent of males (and favorable for running) and the Y chromosome. Caster doesn't have internal female sex organs either.

This is a rarity in terms of the general population, but there is NO DOUBT that her body has a decided advantage over normal women.

If Caster had no Y-chromosome, all this debate would have ended years ago. She would be just another physiological outlier like Bolt, but instead the fact of the matter is she is not an XX woman.
