What's the point of having 9 lines just for the homestretch in the first place?
They ran out of money to build the 9th track all the way?

Saw one report that said they'll rerun tonight to see if they get in on time. Not confirmed.
Seeing this elsewhere, might be legit.

And confirmed by IAAF.
8:00pm local time. US to rerun 4x100. need to beat china time of 42.70 to advance.
IAAF confirms it.
It doesn't matter. We are still coached by Dennis "Butterfingers" Mitchell. We will just drop the baton again.

So can USATF flex it muscle? and get the race re-run?
I've always wanted to see a re-run of a race.
Does this track have 9 lanes?
Let's make this fun and exciting...
Just put the US in the finals with the other teams and make it a waterfall start!
would a false start or baton drop be more embarrassing?
Are any other teams running? Running by yourself is easy. Exchanging a baton in a crowd is not...
USA DQ'd for 170.6a, which has to do with carrying baton in your hand the entire time.
Brazil DQ'd for obstruction, Rule 163.2b. Per that rule, Referee may advance the obstructed team to the next round or order the race re-run at his/her discretion if he/she is of opinion the team was seriously affected by the obstruction. Irrelevant in this case, as USA DQ'd for violation of a different rule.
By themselves, looking for time entry?
When is this happening and where can we watch
Yes, have to beat China's time. 42.70, I think...
Really not how I would have decided it...
It's not you decision to make.

And Canada's time of 42.70, so who gets the boot? A run-off between them as well?
How can Brazil be DQ'd if they didn't infringe on the USA...did they have another infraction?...I don't have access to the replay.
Who will be on the team? No f-g around this time. Put Bowie in there
Jeeez, in the time I typed my post above, things sure did change.
Are there really in rules in Track & Field, or do they just make s#it up as they go along?
