Dastardly act typical of the French stealing a bronze from legend on his final race.
Typical? Like what other occurrence?

I hear Rito Jeptoo doped. Does it not make you feel Kemboi should be DQd for it?

Picture please?
I watched the video multiple times and didn't see this at all
I'm pretty sure that the iaaf report or something said it was after the water jump though? Idk correct me if I'm wrong
The French did nothing wrong here. The rules apply to everybody and we can't just let people bend them or break them because it was an "accident" or they are "the greatest ever" or whatever. Everyone goes into a race knowing full well that they have to follow the rules. By enforcing the rules, even if it seems cruel or overly picky we are actually sending the message that you need to pay attention like everybody else which leads to fairer competition in the end.
As for the "more than a mile from the finish" argument I simply don't follow that. If you cut a certain distance off of 3000 meters it works out mathematically the same no matter where it happened. If it's like that than I suppose runners should be able to start the race a meter in front of the starting line, at least for races longer than 1500 meters.
To be honest the French shouldn't have even had to file this appeal. That is what officials are for. They're there to call the rules, not make judgments. If we start allowing soccer players to just play out of bounds or basketball players to not dribble we are cheating the other team which ultimately leads to the degradation of the integrity of the sport.
Saying being 4cm out of bounds means he ran less than 3000m is stupid, plus there's no video to show wether or not he was pushed yet, and the problem is the French guy did work to earn a medal he took the easiest way out ever, maybe if he had tried to earn his and that infraction affected something people wouldn't be mad, and maybe the officials didn't call it because it was so minor they couldn't tell he was out of bounds?
I also want to chime and say that this post is false.
We have not seen any evidence that Kemboi ran inside the cones to pass 4-5 people before the water jump in question.
This is rumor.
I did see him pass 4-5 people on their inside.
But he was between the cones and the runners - not inside the cones.
And he did not land to the side of the water on the jump. He landed in the water.
If you have evidence of him inside the cones in that situation please show it.
We have only seen the one step over the line.
HE IS BACK BABY
He's coming back and coming back with a vengeance. I'd be scared if I was anyone else in that race
My takeaways:
I don't see how anyone can see anything on the clips/screenshots provided.
I hate the French as much as anyone, but apparently he broke the rules like a fool so....
None of this really matters.
Why does LR love Kenboi so much?
Great. He could not leave athletics with that haircut.
Jokes aside, it's understandable.
How Mahiedine Mekhissi-Benabbad could go to him after the race to shake his hand while thinking he would get him disqualified the next minute is beyond me.
Is this definitely true? I have not seen it from any major new outlet yet. Would be great news!

Shaunae Miller dives over line to win controversial Olympic gold in 400 metres - The Telegraph
› Sport › Olympics
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Look at the link above and the photo where it shows both of Miller's legs clearly behind the line after Felix is completely over! So she she won apparently according to the 'rules' - well this is complete $hit because if Kimboi is going to get disqualified for supposedly running less that the distance by having one foot four inches over a line because it's claimed he ran less that 3k, then Miller should clearly lose her Gold Medal under the same logic - She didn't complete the full 400 meter before the next runner and if she still was on the ground halfway across the line when third place completely crossed, she doesn't get that medal either!
The torso rule should still apply absolutely but if you don't fully cross with your body then it's not valid! In theory then, someone could then be leading by a huge margin, run up to the line, lean forward and throw their shoulder across nerver crossing the line fully, then step back have a cup of tea and still get the 'Gold' and win the race! You fully cross or you lose that spot! Kemboi's body did not cross that line, nor his whole foot even - this isn't the long jump! There was no advantage to him doing so. If both feet went over and or he had taken an internal stride, then sure he'd have cheated but he didn't! This is complete bull$hit!
Total logical inconsistencies!
There is nobody I hate more than that doped Mekhissi. This is a dude that punched a 14 year old girl dressed as a mascot, got in a fist fight with Baala, pushed another mascot to the ground, and took his shirt off before a race was finished. What a LOSER. Catch this guy. He's 1000% dirty. No way he's as talented or trains as hard/well as Jager. Although he has the same PR.
mekhissi is a piece of shit
