Hope things go better for you with Kipchoge, your other favorite and hot tip, and hope you haven't given him the kiss of death.
Native Son, please predict the marathon in reverse order, so I know what the correct finish order will be.
That's honorable to come back and apologize.
Jagger's medal was the only one that really wasn't an upset of the five.
This happened to be the best US Olympic distance performance ever.

I bungled up.
Let me not predict because I don't want to jinx anyone.
Some Kenyans are furious!
https://twitter.com/search?q=asbel+kiprop&ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5EsearchI'm just kidding NativeSon, just busting your chops a bit.
Good luck to Kipchoge tomorrow, he's never shown carelessness like Kiprop has so I think he's a safe bet.

Native Son, this will go down as a classic thread in Lets Run history. If you are ever in Portland, I will buy you a beer just for the joy I have gotten from reading it.
mar828,
I don't imbibe alcohol but tea would do. I've never been to Portland but if I ever do, may be.
Actually NativeSon, your OK - an antidote to jamins morose drivelling.
In Kenya, I have heard, only alcoholics drink beer. Is that true?
good of you to come back to make amends for that prediction. This will, I believe, be our best distance performance in the Olympics for a long time. We'll see about the marathon tomorrow. Chelimo silver, 5000m, Jager silver, steeple, Centro gold, 1500m, Murphy bronze 800m, Coburn bronze, steeple, Simpson bronze, 1500m. Six medals is very respectable. U.S. distance has not held its weight in a long time. Also, respectable performances from Huddle in 30:13 AR in the 10000m for 5th, not bad for Flanagan, Linden, Cragg in the marathon, Rupp 6th in the 10k in a respectable 27:08 (5 seconds below Meb's long-standing old AR), and a lot of finalists, including 3 in the men's 5, the men's steeple, should have been 3 in the 1500m (and that kind of race was right up Andrews' alley), etc. Well done!
lol

Congrats on let's run infamy, native son, and respect for coming back to this thread. This really has been the best Olympics for the USA in my lifetime, and that's without much help from the sprints!

Talking about LR infamy, all we need now is a come back to the LR boards of 'A Duck'.

+2 kudos for coming back and admitting you were wrong. And the performance of the Americans was not predictable. Major surprise.
Congratulations to Matt on his win and proving that he is the better tactician than Kiprop. And I'm delighted for Makhloufi, I'm a big fan of his and he gets far too much stick here and elsewhere.
