Guys, this was a training run for Rupp. Nice speed tune-up before the real race for Rupp, the Marathon. Rupp goes sub 2:06 and wins GOLD!!!

No . It was nothing like that.
It would have been difficult for Mo to step on Rupp's heal when Rupp was BEHIND him.

Rupp should do well in the marathon.
No and Galen have been talking gold in 2016 for 15 years now. I don't know what they'll think if they miss gold in the marathon.
ugh. wanted way more from kamworwor and demelash.
The Kenyans worked hard on their "tactics." Who would have thought going out slow and trying to outkick Mo was the wrong approach.
That must be the crappiest Ol 10k ever

I wonder if Rupp would have medaled if he had run with the strength of a Marathoner .... what a complete waste of time/effort.
Rupp's last lap was a replay of his last lap at the trials 5000.
When the commentators at the ended stated that RUPP ran a sub 50 400 at practice, I got super excited and thought he would medal. But then he hit a wall....

Same old story for Rupp (excluding london) ... he's there the whole race, he has the endurance but just can't change gears like the Africans and Mo
Maybe because he is running the marathon??????

Rupp was in PERFECT position at the bell and just didnt have the wheels. Still ran 58 on the last lap though, and closed in ~406 which is not disgraceful at all.
What was Galen's last lap?
Tanui just beat all but one 10 000m runners in the world. He's nobody's B!!!
Very much like Beijing last year.
