Jame killed that Semi, he looked very good, could have been 43.7 if he didn't slow down at the end. Did he put too much, Thebe DNS in the second semi, after that great leg at world juniors, wonder what happened.

Van Niekerk not even trying he looked comfortable, which he usually does not, which makes me think he has a lot left to give in that final.
The head-on slow-mo of the 400 runners finishing is hilarious, their jowls are all bouncing and such.

The empty stadium is buzzkill.
When has the Olympic stadium ever been filled to the brim for a day of heats and women's heptathlon?
The stadium isn't empty, it's completely packed. The view that makes it look empty is takes up a fifth of the stadium and is filled with news casters from the various countries as well as official type stuff.
No big names in the third heat. Wide open, how fast will they go, Taplin good PB here, he has been good this year.
And Gil Roberts faded badly.
Very close at the end. A Brit somehow got in there.

verburg is out too
The top section looks empty and it's a pretty big day for track, women's 100 final, men's lj final, 10K final.
Will the 10k be on primetime or NBCSN?

They showed much of the stadium, and it is very empty.
I'm just watching the live stream, it's better
The attendance is abysmal.
Better to have the Olympics at Hayward field.
People aren't going to sit in the stands all day waiting for the evenings' events.
If you look now, it's filled up.
People who complain that a stadium isn't filled at 10am when nobodys are competing are the same ones convinced the track is short.
I uploaded a picture for everyone. See, completely packed/full.
Bowie vs Ahoure in the first semifinal
The stadium at best is 40% full.
Bowie gets through, I don't think Ahoure made it , which is major.
