I thought Bolt looked ok. His start was trash but he was smooth after that. I'm starting to think the winning time will be more like 9.70-9.75 though. He won't go 9.6 with that kind of start.

Biggest surprises into the semis:

-Ben Youssef Meite (Wow...he's in sub 10 form, since when Cote D' Ivoire is producing great sprinters? Meite, Koffi, Ahoure and Ta' Lou)

-Zhenxe Xie (China is replacing Japan as the sprinter powerhouse in Asia)

-Lemaitre (I thought he was done. And probably he's done with the 100m, but -still the fastest white on the field)

How did Bromell look in the 100 heats.. earlier posts suggest he didn't look good?

Not great - will do well to make the final. De Grasse looked awesome!

Agreed. The empty stadium and the huge bibs are very annoying. It's like they printed them on my shit HP printer. And if so many seats are unsold why not give them out to locals who can't afford any of these events happening out their front door. Fill the stadium!

Predictions for the 10k

1. Kenyans let everyone get settled, than start pushing the pace a bit, but keep slowing it down and don't attack the race, Farah remains comfortable, out kicks everyone and wins in 26:50-27:00

2. Kenyans don't push the pace and let Farah control everything, winning time 27:20 to 27:40 to win easily.

3. Kenyans actually push the pace, Farah either breaks or still is able to win, time 26:20 high to 26:30 mid.

4. The least likely, do to the fact this event is not run that often the record may be not as strong as we fought. The Kenyans push the pace and someone breaks the WR in a huge surprise of a fast race. Probably not happening. I can dream...
