I've been running since I was 10, I'm now 12. I'm a boy. I try to train every day but rest when I feel it's needed. My PR in 5k is 20:07 and I feel a good goal for me to achieve is sub 20. Could you leave me training advice about base building, intervals and weight training to help me build up for sub 20 or even faster. I know a lot of people say you don't need intervals to break 20 mins but I also run middle distance track races and cross country and I think I could benefit from 5k interval workouts. I currently run 20 miles a week but in 2 weeks or so I'll be bumping up to 20-30 miles a week. I've been doing a lot of easy running and long mileage with strides in preparation for my 5k race as well as my cross country.
