Where are the accusations of doping? Oh I forgot those accusations are not allowed if she is a white American athlete.

Molly is now the 3rd fastest woman not born in Ethiopia or Kenya, EVER, over 10,000m. The other 2: Junxia Wang (29:31.78, ha!) of China, and Paula Radcliffe (30:01.09, ha!) of Great Britain.
Seriously, think about that.

Kim Smith had DVTs and PEs previously after surgery, while pregnant, and shortly after giving birth. Being laid up from surgery is a major risk factor for clot formation as is pregnancy. Those are far more likely causes than doping given the timing of her PEs.

She was over 50 seconds back. Whole other level. Molly's performance was amazing and comprehensible, the winner on the other hand...
You do realize that some runners are just better than others?
When I first saw the screenshot of Molly and Emily, I thought "Who is the white girl outleaning Molly at the line?". Then I realized it was Infeld, who looks like she is leaning for the line the entire way.

She needs the new wonder drug the Africans are using.
Given that she destroyed her PB, maybe she has it.

I don't think Molly reached the "there is no way she did this without doping" level.
I think that Ayanz did. If Molly ran 30:05 or under. I would put her in that category.
Will I be surprised if she was doping? No but that's the same for everyone in the Olympics.

30:06 is ok... good to know...
Tough, gutty run -- which is what I would have expected from her. Can't control what the runners ahead of her do. Great job, Molly!
30:13 American record! Obviously doped to the gills.
The only medal Emily I deserved is the one she won beating Molly H at the worlds last year.

She's dirty as well. That whole field was maybe one of the most doped up women's fields in history.

I guess you weren't around during the Cold War.
If Molly is dirty, her husband, coach and friends do not know about it.

Sheesh. Just enjoy what just happened.
No way Huddle cheats.great job Ray Treacy.
This was in the cards for a long time. Her road performances have been remarkable the past couple years. Last year, Infeld snuck by when she celebrated early, so she lost a medal but this American record is a good consolation prize. With the American record now at 5000m and 10000m, and a very good chance at higher distance records, maybe she'll break 2:20 and go down as among the best Americans ever.

How is this clean???? My top 2 d2 men's college teammates couldn't keep up with her if they ran each 5k!!!
More to the point: how are your D2 men's college teammates so slow???!!!!
They all may be on the dope, but being faster than hobby joggers certainly isn't the proof.
Makes you think that Huddle's American Record at 5k is very soft (14:42.64). I think Rowbury, Simpson and Huddle could all take it down if they really wanted to. None of the best Americans will run this any more because the international competition is much tougher at 5k than even at 10k.

Agreed. I was absolutely expecting an AR.

She just ran faster than half the Chinese stable and only 12 seconds slower than Radcliffe. Her drugs are working just fine.
