Great run, Molly! She held on well in a tough, tough race.
Wow, that ETH gal smashing an already suspect record from 1993. How do they do it?

Alexi Pappas sets National Record, 31:36.

By "already suspect record," I think you meant to say "record that the runner just admitted was doped."

I hope Infeld feels guilty that she doesnt deserve a medal of any kind.
Huddle\\\'s shame and embarrassment at Worlds was hers and hers alone, rookie mistake. Infield deserved that bronze all day long. Running is an individual sport the line determines the medals. If that was a non-American pulling up and celebrating early you\\\'d be lauding Infeld all over these boards. Stop being a tool.
Not sure if it's revenge. Infeld has a WC medal, Huddle does not.
*nearly laps her
You've all accused the Africans of doping what about Molly?

She was over 50 seconds back. Whole other level. Molly's performance was amazing and comprehensible, the winner on the other hand...
it was quite a strange race.ayana's world record in 29.17,the first 8 women running 30.26,or under, and then 9th from norway ran 31.14.thats a huge gap.

Look at the picture on front page. I hope Infeld feels guilty that she doesnt deserve a medal of any kind. 2016 Huddle would win silver or gold last year. Its funny how much it turned around from beijing to rio.
I put the photo up on purpose as it was just too good not to point out. But Infeld deserved the medal as she finished third. I'm going to merge this thread into the Huddle AR thread as we don't need multiple threads on the same topic.
And Infeld ran a PB by 12 seconds. Great race for her. Still more than 2 minutes behind the leaders. Doesn't seem right.

Was actually just coming here to post that, I laughed when I saw the screenshot on the splash page.
That's why I took the screenshot. All of these threads are being merged in teh Huddle AR thread.
Infeld just ran a PB by 12 seconds. Great run especially considering all her injury issues.

Anyone else super impressed by rojo's technical know-how? Man...I have a router at home that needs routing. If you know what I mean.
Seriously, it's just not routing properly.
How is this clean???? My top 2 d2 men's college teammates couldn't keep up with her if they ran each 5k!!!

She needs the new wonder drug the Africans are using.
Some people have a problem with success.
An excellent performance is NOT evidence of doping.
Molly should be picking up her gold medal in about 2024

Thanks guys. Molly and me really appreciate your praise and support!
I want to post something congratulatory on Molly's Twitter. I'm just a fan, not connected with a company in any way. But due to Rule 40, I'm terrified of doing damage. Am I allowed to say what I want during the Olympics as a fan?
Here's my post from another thread, and a reply. There is plenty of room for more information, if anyone can add details to either post.

2016 Huddle would have rabbited the gold/silver winners and gotten bronze. You know the same medal she would have gotten if she ran through the line instead of wimping out during the last 20ms.
This 10k is right in line with her 5k (14:42) given normal variances. 10k just isn't run often enough. If she was doping for this race, it is something she has done for a while.
The best part of this race was the lapped runners. Starting at about the 4k mark.......... And it wasn't just passing an occasional runner or 2. There were packs for 4 or 5 gals getting lapped at the same time.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?

Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
