Minimum would be 40 minutes. I know 40 minute 10k runners who've broken 3. The faster the better though, 37 to 39 would be enough speed to not feel like you're running flat out in a marathon.
Trying to break the 3:00 marathon hobby jogger barrier. What's the minimum 10k fitness I need in order to do this? Or what is essentially equivalent in the 10k to the 3:00 marathon?
