According to Dan Hicks on NBC her coach/husband was responsible for her winning the gold and breaking the WR. Minimal input was required from her. He could have coached practically anyone to the gold.

Hubby knows how to get and micro dose the EPO and Testosterone so practically anyone with talent who has been swimming fir many years.
Ah... Katinka. The swimming world is rather passive-aggressive and has a tendency to often describe her as 'I hope she's clean but...'
A while back, wojo had an article from a longtime track agent that had a list of red flags for female athletes who might be doping. Wish I could find that article again because I got about 2/3rds of the way down the list thinking of her history and you had enough of those red flags that you'd think you were in a Chinese political rally.
She came up through a very good Hungarian juniors program and swam for a very good USC college team and seemed kind of stuck in the top 20 but not quite podium bound realm. And then she quit the USC postgrad team in a huff, declared roid rage boy her coach, and then made the kind of mid-20s time drop last seem with Michelle Smith and her equally roid rage boyfriend/husband/coach. Smith will tell everyone she never tested positive (she's technically correct) but was instead booted out of competitive swimming for manipulating a urine sample during a drug test.
As for Ledecky's unfortunate hairline, she's had it since she was a toddler so unless the drugs were going into her sippy cup back in the day, it's just unlucky generics.
Hungarians have roots in Central Asia, They are probably an amalgamation of Central Asian and ancient people that lived in Hungary before the invasion by the Huns.Nationalistnot wrote:

The doping in sports is totally out of control. WADA and the individual governing bodies are a total sham. Almost every event I've watch in the past 2 days has had some sort of doping story brought up. If all the performances we see are "unbelievable" it is because THEY ARE unbelievable.

A U.S. Athlete’s Red Flags For Doping
That Turkish chick never tested positive?!?!! Where’s her progression? She has to be dirty. WHAT THE HELL. So. I was thinking. This is my list of RED FLAGS! with doping.

124 lbs? LMAO. That weight's probably from years back, never updated.
Sydney Mclaughlin is listed at 5'9", 130 lbs...and Hosszu looks like she could snap her like a twig. Hosszu is clearly north of the 65 kg / 143 lbs zone these days.

Idiot. Swimmers often look bigger than they are because they are really defined and have muscles in the places where they look big, ie delts, traps, shoulders. Weight to height ratios are often not that high though.
She doesn't look so big here, and this is from Rio.

"Really defined?" Swimmers?
It is - some chic Evimova from Russian that just swam and is a favorite to win gold has twice failed drug tests in the past but was somehow cleared to participate. Such a joke.
I could believe ANY Olympic athlete is doping, including our own, oh so sweet, swimmers, like Ledecky. I'm not saying anyone in particular is doping, just that I believe it's widespread enough and entrenched enough in elite sports that anyone could be doing it.
So, yes, Hozzsu could be a doper. But, I don't find her body that remarkable as evidence. She's hardly the first swimmer to have that build. Even non-Eastern bloc swimmers have had it.
The Olympic coverage is horrendous.
