When she lifted her arms, and her triceps exploded out, my first thought was East German women from the 70s, especially Marita Koch. But maybe she's just so much better than everyone else; and maybe she's pumped up because she swims the IM, and one needs that kind of all-around musculature. She did break the WR by less than three seconds, but at one point in the race the announcer--why can't track have someone as good as that guy?--said she was 5 seconds ahead of WR pace. Oh my.
