I understand that these entries are to encourage global participation from counties like Saudi Arabia and that there not doing anyone any harm. But some people work for years to even have a shot at the olympics and for someone to just be given an opportunity out of nowhere does not seem fair.
I read the interview below and it just bugged me because she does not seem to grasp the seriousness and how competitive the olympics are.
Solution: I feel there needs to be a minimum cutoff for these athletes something like 2:10 for women 800 so at the very least they could be somewhat competitive in a slow tactical race.
