with a running start like the 2nd leg Felix is a much better choice than prandini.
Dollars to donuts NBC had a say in this. Umm, ever heard of Atlanta 1996????
JA will never beat the USA women in the 4x100 relay LOL
Felix happened to run faster at 60m this year when she won Milrose than Prandini did this year and as fast as Prandini has ever run at 60. You'd have to be living under a rock to not think she hasn't come close to showing sub 11 speed in years. Her injury was the problem outdoors.
You'd have to be a stupid as a letsrun poster to not understand that Prandini started the homestretch in the OT 200 final almost 2 meters ahead of Felix...and Felix ran her down. If I had a straight relay slot with a running start, I think I'd prefer the one doing the running down over the one who had to dive to avoid being run down.

For once we agree. Felix was very timid in all her starts because of the injury which cost her the 200. She clearly had the speed just wasn't using it on the curve start.
Top 6 should be the relay pool unless there is an injury so to answer your question yes if any person who gets beat in the trials and not in the top six.

Felix isn't listed on the 4 x 100 relay squad. But why let facts get in the way of a good argument and accusations of racism.
http://www.usatf.org/Events---Calendar/2016/Olympic-Games/Roster.aspx4x100m Relay: English Gardner (Voorhees, New Jersey), Tianna Bartoletta (Elyria, Ohio), Tori Bowie (Sandhill, Mississippi), Morolake Akinosun (Aurora, Illinois), Jenna Prandini (Clovis, California), Ariana Washington (Long Beach, California)
4x400m Relay: Allyson Felix (Los Angeles), Phyllis Francis (Queens, New York), Natasha Hastings (Brooklyn, New York), Taylor Ellis-Watson (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), Francena McCorory (Hampton, Virginia), Courtney Okolo (Carrollton, Texas)
Anyone in an individual event can be used on the relays. She's running the 4 x 100m.
How much of this decision is because Prandini doesn't run for Nike?

Best suggestion yet. The females are smart and Mitchell is dumb. Even the self-organized Brit males achieved victory thanks to a team-driven reorganization (Black running lead and Akabusi anchor in the 1991 WC 4x400), so why not let them try?
This is the USA relay team, so they will drop the baton, anyways.
Is Felix on 4 X 100 relay squad, or not?

FIRE DENNIS MITCHELL NOW!
DM must have naked pictures of someone.
I'm sure he does but how does Hope Solo influence the coaching decisions of USATF?

Yes.
That doesn't mean Prandini won't run in the semis, which is what I expect. Felix has two relays to run plus the 400.

Looks to me like both Oregon Ducks are getting cut out of the relay team by admitted doper Dennis Mitchell, in favor of AF, who was not originally part of the entered 6-person relay pool for the 4x100. Who knows how much money might be changing hands among agents and shoe companies?
^correct
The size of the Fresno, California (Prandini) TV market in miniscule compared to the size of the rest (Felix) of the world.
haha you dingleberries. Enjoying this classic from LRC!
