Deajah Stevens should be ahead of Felix too.

It's 'cause she white.
Just last year at the 2015 World Relays in the Bahamas, Felix was involved in a baton drop between her and Jeneba Tarmoh in the 4 x 200. She actully trains with Tarmoh so they shouldn't have been too unfamiliar with each other.

Easy. Because the OP is attempting to turn this into a whitey vs. darkie debate.
Congratulations! You are the one that turned this thread into whitey vs darkie debate. This thread was perfectly civil into you started reading minds!
its a no brainier to put Felix on the squad over Prandini, especially on a straight leg, as that should have little effect on her ankle.
Have we see a source yet?

Right now it seems like a bunch of idle BS crazy talk. The prelims aren't until the 17th and the final on the 19th.

I've been reading this cesspool of dog doo doo long enough to know what it's always about.
Felix did not earn here spot on this relay at all, and it actually pisses me of that shes on it. She has not demonstrated any pure speed this year. Injures happen, and while unfortunate, you don't just let someone in how tried and failed because they had a disadvantaged. I have a feeling we lose this relay because of Felix's lack of speed, I never thought I would say that, but against the world class 100m runner that will be on the relay from other nations, she is slow, she will do great in the 400, but she is not the speedster we have seen in the past.

Last summer Felix split 47.72 in Beijing. IDK about her injury status but if Felix is healthy, you pick her over Prandini.
Dumbest response of the day^

US loses to Jamaica either way.

Too bad T&F has turned by the way of gymnastics and ice skating... even though you beat people politics picks who goes forward.
Lasciala gara!
Why are you guys rattling on about speed?
The US loses this relay all the time due to baton screw-ups, not due to speed.
What they need is obviously better passing and better coaching.
Due to corruption, betting coaching is unobtainable, so let them put more experienced relay passers on.
With athletes this good, I don't understand why all the baton drops. Each one of these ladies has passed and received a ton of batons in her lifetime. Athletes at that level can figure out marks on their own with minor adjustments by a reasonably trained eye.
This isn't freaking rocket science.

Felix isn't listed on the 4 x 100 relay squad. But why let facts get in the way of a good argument and accusations of racism.
http://www.usatf.org/Events---Calendar/2016/Olympic-Games/Roster.aspx4x100m Relay: English Gardner (Voorhees, New Jersey), Tianna Bartoletta (Elyria, Ohio), Tori Bowie (Sandhill, Mississippi), Morolake Akinosun (Aurora, Illinois), Jenna Prandini (Clovis, California), Ariana Washington (Long Beach, California)
4x400m Relay: Allyson Felix (Los Angeles), Phyllis Francis (Queens, New York), Natasha Hastings (Brooklyn, New York), Taylor Ellis-Watson (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), Francena McCorory (Hampton, Virginia), Courtney Okolo (Carrollton, Texas)
If not a trolling thread I will bite.
Prandini ran 100 and finished high enough to be in the relay pool.
She beat Felix head to head.
Felix coming off the injury and the additional racing could take away from her doing something special in the 400 and 4x400.
Prandini has more recent hand off experience in the last three years due to her college experience. Along with some international track.
Also prelims of 4x400 are within a very short time on the same day of track plus Felix load before the relay will be much tougher due to the nature of the 400 and the near certainty she makes 400 final the same cannot be said of Prandini plus 200 is not nearly as brutal.
Lastly, one athlete is with Nike and one is with Puma. If true the relay politics will continue the tradition of issues we can't seem to simply do correctly.
Felix has lost some of her top end speed. That's why she's contesting the 400. Prandini is faster. But not the fastest alternative to Felix. Regardless, no medal, no finish - US will drop the baton as usual.
This has NBC written all over it. They want to promote Bolt, Phelps and Felix.
ABC long ago and unfortunately set the bar for back stories and personalities as the template for Olympic coverage.
Get set for days and days of Tom Hammond ejaculating "USAIN BOLT, ALLYSON FELIX and even MICHAEL PHELPS."
This is what happens when you let distance runners talk sprint relays.
Whether Prandini's flat 100 meter time is better or not is irrelevant. No blocks required= total game changer. Lack of explosive speed is not so important when you have several meters to begin accelerating.
Felix has run at this stage again and again and has been solid every time. Prandini is a young talent but I doubt her top end speed is as good as Felix's. 49.6 suggests 22.1/22.2 shape. Take Felix's top end speed and composure at highest levels of competition and it outweighs the 0.15 difference or whatever between her and Prandini in the flat 100 right now.
That being said, I'm sure Prandini still runs in the prelims. If she runs a blazing leg and depending on how Felix is looking Mitchell may have to reconsider.

Or maybe she's positive.
