Is this what you would think? I am surprised it is not heavier.

I'm not sure what's worse. Being obese or being 5'9".
And contrary to popular belief, about 5.6 inches.
I am 5'11" and a few years ago let myself go for a while and got up to 190. Was not a good look at all to say the least. I was straight up fat. Maybe not quite obese, but certainly flabby.
But now I don't feel quite so bad. By this standard I was doing perfectly fine!
160 now. Took me a year to get it back off, and I still feel like I'm carrying 5 extra pounds. I'm not going back to the fat zone again. Nothing good to see there.

yep, a bunch of self-indulgent, unstructured, slovenly dopes
Never been average at anything. Always the best.
6'3'' - 225lbs
Note that the median weight (which in this instance is probably a better measure of average) is 189lbs.
It's probably all muscle.

I blame it on Cross Fit. Making all those people so buff.
I'm 5'11" and 165 and that's 15 lbs overweight (ideal running weight). Embarrassed to take my shirt off at the beach.
Everyone tells me "you're so skinny", but I'm like "Relative to what? A f'ing whale?"
At 5'11" I weigh right about the same as the average...5'4" woman that is. And I'm needing to eliminate a good 15 pounds myself.
Clocking in at 6'1" 145# here.
This is why I have to buy Small-sized shirts. I'm 5' 11", but only around 130-135 lbs. I have been this way since I was a teenager. That's slim, sure, but not terribly so.
By any reasonable metric, I am not a "small" man; I should be able to buy Medium shirts (because the sleeve length fits me better). But, because Americans have gotten so much larger, manufacturers have increased clothing sizes. Most Mediums are like ponchos on me. As you can tell, I am a bit upset about this.

By any reasonable metric, at 130lb a man would be considered tiny.

Yeah that's pretty much terribly slim.
I wonder what's the average weight and height on letsrun for males.
I'm 6'1 155
I was running a race last night and someone said to me something like "wow you're really moving pretty good for such a big guy" kind of rude mid race.
5"7' and 159lbs. Yeah, peeps getting lazier in general and junk and high fat foods. That's not to say that peeps aren't trying to get fit and eat better, 'coz they are (at least in my neighborhood); most parents just tend to not practice good nutrition and exercise, pass it down the generations, and school budget cuts lead to less PE and Personal Health Classes. I remember hearing that my brother's 2014-2015 PE class was literally him sitting at the bleachers watching anime while the Basketball team practiced. I had a smart Wrestling coach in 2011-2012 who'd explain the difference between fats, carbs, and proteins and which are good sources, aerobic and anaerobic exercise, warm-ups and cool-downs.
I'm 6-0 150
