15'00 is a very weak time
you can go look up iaaf tables
here are some "mathematical tables" i use & equivalent times for 4'00
4'00.0 =
1'58.9
2'32.6
5'27.5
8'25.5
14'27.4 !!
29'51.5 !!!
women's 5 & 10k times are woefully under-developed
if they were anywhere as good as a 4'00, you woud have same number of gals running < 14'30 & < 29'55 if those events were perfectly run by gals in those events

After seeing the 100m hurdles time that TrackBot pulled up for Jacobs in addition to the 100m time, and the date for the two, 1997, when she would have been about 33, I believe that they are a mistake. IAAF has no times below 400m for her.
27 germans have run under 1:58.9 (3 since 2000).
German10000m NR:31:03.62. Best time since 2000: 31:14.21.
Ventolin's mathematical tables obviously were a co-product of Perelman and Wiles.
it is a "wonderful" "easy" concept to mathematically guided guys
fundamental concept of physics/life :
exponent
doubling or power terms distance has exponential relationship for EVEN numbers meaning every number whole number for double/quadrupling, etc
e.g.
2'12.00
has 3 choices for whole even numbers for 2k :
4'44.00
4'46.00
4'48.00
you pick it...
44.00 :
has 3 choices for whole even numbers for 800 :
1'40.00
1'42.00
1'44.00
you pick it...
1'42.00
has 3 choices for whole even numbers for 1600m ( 9+m short of mile ),
3'42.00
3'44.00
3'46.00
you pick it & convert 1600 to mile...
3'30.00
has 3 choices for whole even numbers for 3000 :
7'24.00
7'26.00
7'28.00
you pick it...
20.00
has 3 choices for whole even numbers :
42.00
44.00
46.00
it is obviously 44.00, but 20.00 has asymmetry of 1 bend + 1 straight, where 400 doesn't as whole track run with straights/bends equalling out
a 20.00 on standard track woud = ~ 19.75 on straight 200
->
20.00 =
44.50
spend a good few minutes eschewing on concept
this is an IMMENSE consideration of equivalent track-times & only needs 1 simple paradigm
you have now "worked out" what are the equivalent mathematical performance for doubling distance...

you can offer this board something as owner of Ryun's 3'38.2 in Dusseldorf DVD :
- what were splits at 300/400/700/800/1k/1100/1200 ?
- how much drafting did he get ?
- did he run wide on bends ?
if so, how much extra did he run ?
for example, Aouita in his 3'29.71 ran
~ 13m
wide on bends, meaning his time shouda been nearer
~3'28-flat
with 52.8 last lap !!!
& he ran also wide in that last lap !!!
more like 52-low/mid in intrinsic 3'28-flat
he was in flat-out, even-pace, paced-to-bell that day of
3'26-high
& probably 1'42-flat/low

Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
