What are some good "low calorie" IPAs or Pale Ales? I've been drinking Dales and Swami's IPA but I'm curious if there are some others out there with less calories.

For reference: 12 oz of Dales has 150 calories and is 6.5%
That seems like the most bang for your buck.
Surprised to learn that Guiness has 160 calories per pint
It should read "fewer calories," not "less calories."
Anyway, it all evens out in the end if you drink for the buzz. You can drink 3 Dale's or 6 Founder's All Day IPAs. It just takes fewer Dale's to catch the same buzz.
Honestly, I have found that going with strong double IPAs around 9%-11% and sipping them like a scotch is the better way to go. If I am somewhere like a cookout or on the beach, I will typically get a mid-road IPA and drink fewer of them.
But to answer your question, do a search for session IPAs and you can find some good ones in your area. Session IPAs made a decent come back this past year and most breweries are going to have at least one.
I don't think session IPA's have that many less calories than Dales Pale Ale. For example, Founders All Day IPA has 147 calories and 4.7% ABV.
I personally love Dales Pale Ale and haven't really found a good session IPA that I like.
I recently had the Abita Big Easy session and liked it. I have enjoyed the seeming explosion of sessions this summer. They are becoming as diverse in flavor as the full and double IPAs. Much easier to have a few sessions through an afternoon or at a picnic than full on IPAs and you are not compromising much if you like the IPA category.
I also like Dale's and it certainly isn't as heavy with a high alcohol content that the IPAs seemed to be heading for a while.

"Tastes great!"
Drink whatever you like. Run a few more miles to offset if you are a calorie counter. (BTW, That's still a thing?)
I don't think it's low calorie but I'm obsessed with Ballast Point's various Sculpin IPAs at the moment. The grapefruit one is incredible. I'd rather run an extra mile and drink something delicious than try to shave 20 or 30 calories for a lesser beer, but that's just me.
There are none. The only real beer is Hefeweizen Weissbier. Real men drink only real beer.

I think that should be "a fewer beer" rather than "a lesser beer." Aside from that, I agree with you, to a mostly extent.

Why would you reference the calories in terms of a pint when the OP is talking about bottles? Guinness has 125 calories per bottle. Barely more than a Bud Light.
Something is wrong with my browser. I thought I was at letsrun.com, but instead I keep getting redirected to grammararsehole.org. Damn it.

IPAs and Pale Ales are for faux hipsters.

So overhyped. Sierra Nevada Torpedo is just as good IMO, and doesn't require standing in line in VT.

And what does the cool guy drink?

Ok, you don't like HT then drive on over to Hill Farmstead.
Take a ride on the IPA HIghway!

A hefeweizen? You mean the beer they serve with a slice of lemon on the glass & that tastes like bubble gum, cloves, & bananas? With only a fair amount of alcohol in a serving?
Real manly there bro. How about a beer that doesn't have fruity additives to sweeten the taste? Something like a Czech or German pilsner with just a touch of bitterness.

Had to look that up on BA. Wish I'd known about it last year when I visited Stowe. Double Galaxy sounds great. Thanks for the tip!
