The muscles on my inner thighs (not sure what they're actually called) are always completely trashed for about two or three days after squatting. I last squatted two days ago and haven't run at all since then because those muscles are so sore that it hurts to climb stairs, sit down, and walk. I don't squat much at all, and that workout was the first one I've done in a few weeks, but it wasn't hard (6x5 with 145 plus warm-up/cool down on the Smith machine). The extreme soreness in the inner thighs is the only reason I don't squat more.
Could it maybe have something to do with my stance? I have long thighs so I place my feet fairly far apart and have trouble keeping my knees from collapsing inward. How do I fix this?
