injuries, chafing, icy roads, when i stash a drink mid-way and someone takes it, daylight savings time, track repeats in the wind, clueless people in lane 1 with their headphones on, big and territorial dogs, speeding pickup trucks, untied shoes, people who line up in the wrong corral, people with bad aim who throw their half-empty water cups during races, wedgies and shorts riding up, trying to pee in the bushes and someone staring at you, KT tape coming off when you sweat, running magazines with nothing really useful in them, skipping stretching and feeling gulity about that, having to get up super early, getting lost, swallowing bugs, aqua jogging, races that start late, having to pee during a race, getting nauseous at mile 20, sore calves, post-long-run hunger pangs, sudden downpours out of nowhere, pad-locked tracks, 0.0 bumper stickers, entry fees, "medium" sized tshirts that are sometimes huge sometimes tight depending on which race issues them, having to go to the Expo in person to get your bib because they won't mail it to you and then nobody checking your ID at the Expo, piriformis syndrome, the taste of endurance gels, having to explain why I still love this despite all of the above
