Looks like the release date of the new spikes from Nike will be 4th August along with all of their Olympic range.

Anyone think they will release the same colour scheme as the Olympic one?

Yes. 100%.
I think the all white ones which they wear at the moment are nicer, hope they let the public buy these too
I've seen pictures of blue/black colour ways but they definitely aren't as nice as the Olympic colours or the sponsored white ones

I am definitely on board with this statement. The leaked pics of the blue ones are pretty bad. The white ones that the pros are wearing are clean and sharp. I saw the Rio "Unlimited colourway" at the US Olympic Trials, and they're very smart looking.
looks like this isn't true. hear that the spikes will now drop in October. sucks.
Is there any source on this? Looks like the Nike store in London is still advertising their release for early August
They released one color of the Victory Elite 2 http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/pd/zoom-victory-elite-2-unisex-racing-spike/pid-11079346/pgid-11287254
I got a pair of plain old Victory 2s cheap just for a look, to compare with the old Jasari, Ventulus, Harambee, Miler, (I haven't competed in 11 years but was getting fit again) and the truth is they weren't very good and these feel like cardboard and the hole in the heel is awful. I couldn't run in these. And this spike plate isn't even used by the pros, who use the victory 1 or the mamba 2 or the matombos instead, which are way better. I got a pair of Avanti 2s and they are way better, really comfortable, but a little heavy.
