Looks like maybe a 1000 fans at most. London had 50,000 each day. Track is a tough sell in the USA.

This is much better than the Atlanta meet a month or so ago.
I'm pretty sure Sanya Richards Ross is one of the cheerleaders on the track between events.
Anyone else notice Ashton Eaton isn't wearing his OTC gear?
DJ Baby Drew goes home DEVASTATED.

WTF is with the pole vault runway? I've never seen anything like that.
For street vaults and what not they often have runways like that. For it to be an American Record it will have to be certified I'm sure.

Watching this is actually kind of depressing me.

We were wrong yesterday when we said London had 50,000. I think that stadium seats 50,000 and it wasn't full. So maybe 40,000 but your point is understood.
The stand in Houston look relatively full (granted there only is one stand to fill). I think it looks better than a 10,000 seat stadium with no one in it.
But the sight line isn't great for TV

Wrong answer to the boob.
Right answer: London was a Diamond League meet.

Most of the good athletes look like "what am I doing here?"
What's up the lack of rail (or only pieces at various points) for the track...did they not learn from the Atlanta meet or does Paul just not care?!?
Can someone tell me though why they don't get different announcers for the distance events? I'd pay for myself and my Ivy League play by play partner, Bill Spaulding, (he's a pro and good and doing the Olympics this year for some sports) to go down there and do it. I promise you we'd be better than what they've got. I'll even pay Bill's salary.
Where the heck is Tom Hammond when you need him?..??
Just heard that is the Rice University track. Would not have guessed.
