Why do Kenyan runners always seem to talk out of their ass when they are discussing their 'plot' to eliminate Mo Farah ??
Time n time they talk shit without being able to back up their empty threats ..I find this talk amusing n somewhat comical tho

To sum things up: Karoki is positive Kenyans will beat Farah, says they've figured him out. Eunice Sum says she can beat Semenya to win 800-even more laughable
If the Kenyans think that MO wins all his races with one fast lap, then they clearly don't understand enough to beat him.

Mo is not a country.
Speaking of people who talk out of their behind, let me introduce you to tony the tiger.
Why is there so much anti-Kenyan sentiment on this site? And not just on the boards but also the editorials on the front page. I'd honestly like to know. I also notice a lot of resentment coming especially from Republican Americans (because of Obama?). Did all three of you on here who've actually been to Kenya feel unwelcome or have any negative experiences?
Anyway, contrast Eunice Sum's attitude to racing Caster Semenya to the defeatist approach most American athletes have towards East Africans. That's what makes Kenyans different.
To beat Mo Farah you have to neutralize his heat-dissipation advantage, which means shave your head clean bald. That's what matters in a sit and kick race, whoever is furthest from overheating has a big advantage during the heat-intensive last lap.
Bernard Lagat gets the same advantage from his shiny pate. And it works so well for Meb over longer distance that sometimes he has to put on a hat to slow the cooling down.
At least one of the US Army Kenyans going to Rio is a head shaver. I've seen Choge shaved a few times, and some Americans like Centro go short crew cut, but that's not the same. It has to be new-razor clean to work right.

I agree with you in theory, but when I've tried it I'm still slow as shit at 100 degree's. Also the Fabian like mane of Walker turns the shaved head theory on it's head.

I haven't read any reaction here to your thread from any other LRC member.
That said, and i know some will agree with me, here is the deal.
This is not the runners. This is from our journalists.
They go soliciting info from runners with a predetermined answer in mind .
Ayodi, Jonathan Komen and all these other reporters are too fond of that.
Then, they come here and report like it is the athletes who said it.
I will pause here for now because I am listening to Donald Trump (RNC speech).
Kenyan media are the worst at this. They'll ask an athlete if they think they can win and then report "Caleb Ndiku Vows Utter Destruction of Farah".
I doubt Tanui and Karoki as really so grandiose as to proclaim that they will definitely beat Mo, unless one of them has agreed to trip him. Usually they have a lot more class than to make such guarantees, to my observation.

lol this is so true.
Remember Karoki is coming from the experience of his and Kam's complete destruction of Farah at the World Half Marathon. They got his number.

Exactly my point El Keniano.
Or they'll go with the headline; "Kenyans tell Bekele 'bring it on'"!
IT is utter madness.
These guys are to unprofessional, too unethical.

I've been to Kenya and enjoyed the visit very much. Didn't do any running as I was bird watching. Big fan of their runners and despite being British I would love to see Kamworor break Farah over 10000m.

John Walker never went head to head against Mr. Clean. It hadn't been discovered yet.
Old what's-his-face Dieter Baumann figured it out and added it to his toothpaste regimen. Clean teeth, clean skull, fast times!

This website covers Kenyan athletes more extensively than any other sports website, and I never noticed any anti-Kenyan sentiment until the doping scandals of the last few years TBH. Most people here have wanted to see a Kenyan take down Mo Farah. I am politically conservative and I love the Kenyan runners and don't believe they're doping.

Bad Gladwell has done it again with his brilliant analysis.
Oh boy.
I remember Dieter "Doperganger" Baumann running here around 1992 to 1995. He would brush his teeth during runs with Nandrolone toothpaste (with fluoride). He would smile sometimes when he was running.
I noticed that Martin Fagan did not ever smile when he was running.
Now I know why he was not smiling.
