does anyone know of any good places for 15-16 miles of soft running in Baltimore? I am staying down by the convention center but have a rental car.
Thanks,

Go to Patapsco Valley State Park. Tons of trails. Pretty hilly, but a lot of soft surfaces. Gwynn falls is a little closer, but not nearly as nice.
Loch Raven Reservoir has some great trails.
I found Leakin Park to be a great place to train. I spent a good amount of time there.
If your looking for flat/fast trail (crushed gravel) then the NCR trail up north is pretty good

Patapsco SP gets really crowded on weekends (to the point that they stop letting people in) so get there early or plan to park outside the park and run in. There's a pretty smooth dirt trail off of South Rolling Road, right by the end of 195, that will take you down to the Avalon Area. Cars park along the road there so you shouldn't have trouble finding it.

Yeah I recommend Leakin Park. Some nice trails there.
If you're looking for soft surface and flat, go to NCR. Like not even joking. go to NCR. I do 15+ mile runs on it all the time, especially if you're looking for some quality miles in there at all. There are easy mile markers if you start at mile post 0. If you go to the main lot on Rolling road, your start about .5 in, so not a huge deal.
I'm telling you from experience if you're looking for solid mileage in Patapsco on a weekend morning, you're going to get annoyed. There are so many hiking groups that think they own the trails, and some of the areas aren't super well marked for people newer to the area.
From there, granted its not soft, you could run north from the convention center and do a loop that incorporates both lakes, druid and Montebello. That's actually a really nice run.
Any idea where to park or a good address to start at mile O on NCR trail. Looking for something to use in GPS.
245 Ashland Road, Cockeysville, MD 21030
Is within about a block of mile 0 point.
