Who would win in a race: All star team of the horizon league vrs all star team from D2 GLIAC vrs all star team from MAAC? My vote goes MAC the Hoirzon League the D2 GLIAC. This would be the midwest rumble minus the Big Ten because that would be unfair.

I think MAC and GLIAC would be a closer race than most people believe. I'm biased, but I also think the GLVC would beat the Horizon in an allstar race.
Is this a serious conversation? GLIAC would certainly win, followed by MAC with Horizon League light years behind. The Horizon league is less competitive than some high school conferences

I would not say a joke. Their indoor mile 6th place, or last man who scores ran 4:09 indoors. I think only two or three people in the GLAIC could run that fast.

GLIAC is not very good. A couple good runners like may and Bradley and the kenyan from Tiffen. But in general those guys lose to top Horizon League runners like Strode, Bowman, McClean, and Kendell. The MAC is best followed by Horizon followed by GLIAC

LOL. Look at the GLIAC outdoor championship results.... In the 1500 their winner was 3:56 with a PR in the 1500 of 3:54 and a mile PR of 4:15. If that is what wins the GLIAC 1500 THAT IS SHIT.
The GLIAC is not very good. If you look at top 12 in their 1500 only one of the 12 has a PR under 4:10 in the mile. That is sad....
GV is good at cross but terrible at track. They only have one guy under 4:10. Don't lie. You probably go their and think because you beat up on shit hole D2 schools that you are real good.... You are not
Are you serious? Based off of a quick tfrrs check, Horizon and GLIAC are about equal in the 1500 this past season. GLIAC is slightly stronger in the 800, significantly superior in the 5,000, and incredibly superior in the 10,000. Aside from Strode and Kendall, the Horizon league is absolutely abysmal for a Division one conference
lol this conversation is an absolute joke. The MAC (aka EMU and friends) is the only semi legit conference (on a macro scale) and EMU is the only legitimate team coming from any of these conferences. I'll give GV and the GLIAC a pass because theyre Division 2. But seriously? The Horizon League? Oakland University won the conference meet this year and they wouldnt have even won the Michigan high school state meet.
GV is horrible at track? Bradley (14:00), May (14:05, 29:44), Panning (14:08), Black (14:36), Orndorf (29:38), Flores (30:01), Cini (30:15).
The entire Horizon league only had 1 guy go sub 30, and only 2 guys go sub 14:30
In short: Grand Valley's top guys are more competitive than the entirety of the Horizon League
Kendell and Storde have both gone sub 30 in 5k, strode 4:04 in mile, 14:03 5k, Kendell 14:15 5k, Bowman 8:44 3k steeple, Mclean 8:50 3k steeple, O'Conner 8:59 3k Steeple, Abfall 8:59 3k Steeple, Bowman twins under 4:10 in mile, Abfall under 4:10 in miles, Mclean under 4:10 in mile, Strode under 4:10 in mile, Huaser under 4:10 in mile. 10k is an irrelevant event because many good runners do not waste their time with an event that kills your legs farther down in a meet. Only thing GLIAC is good at is 5k
Kendell, Strode, and Mclean beat all of GV guys other then Bradley in both Cross Country and 5k indoors. lol
