Hi, I have purchased numerous walking shoes with arch support. Although the shoe feels comfortable when I stand in it that changes after walking 5 minutes. My calves break out into excruciating pain. I keep trying new shoes. Recently I took a pretty brisk walk with my husband in my flats, just regular black flats I wear to work some days. They have some cushion in the bottom but other than that they are flat. My calves did not hurt the entire walk, in fact when we got back home I told my husband I wanted to walk all over again and we did. I tried this again a few times and got the same results - no calf pain. I've researched and found low rise running or walking shoes. Could this be my resolution to my calf pain? My flats are the only thing that's helped - I've tried all sorts of stretches, even special socks on my feet over night to stretch my calves but nothing helps other than wearing my flats.
