I ran a 27:35 last year in the 8k for a pr. My summer before that wasn't very good, probably 30 mile weeks with a workout every two weeks, very few (less than 3) runs lasting 60 minutes.
This year I'm running 40-45 mile weeks, with a long run every week (first 2 60 minutes, then 2 70's, been at 80 for a while but my next one is 90) and workouts twice a week. What kind of time do you think I can drop based on this increase in quantity and quality from last summer?
