NOP, BTC, OTC, Brooks Beasts, NJ-NY 4xmile. Who would win?

mo is a 3:28 1500m runner, centro is a 3:50 miler, Rupp in top shape is a 3:50 miler (probably 3:57 shape right now), Levins is a 3:54 miler. i think NOP would win.

Brooks Beast DFL is all I know. Would be lucky to break 16 at this point.

Assuming people are healthy looking at last 12 months not just PR's?

1-Beasts (Heath, Yorks, Ulrey, Masters) 3:34/3:37but his 3:53 mile is better 3:35/3:38/3:36

2-NY-NJ (Merber, Johnny G, Alexander, some other guy) 3:34/3:38/3:36,3:39

3-NOP (Cento/Rupp/Levins/Jenkins) 3:30/3:38/3:39/3:38

4-OTC (Wheating/Fleet/McNamara/Blanks) 3:38/3:40/3:37/3:34)

5-BTC (Jager/Bayer/Hill/?Huling) 3:34/3:39/3:35/3:39

Can we please not include the Beasts in any serious discussion about professional groups.

NOP would win. Not sure why you didn't include Farah on your list, he just ran 3:31 while training for 10k and can obviously run faster. If Galen trained for 3 months he would beat anyone not named Centro, Farah, Andrews, Blankenship above.

Centro, Rupp, Jenkins, Farah would beat any team easily above if they trained like the milers listed. (3:30, 3:34, 3:37, 3:30)

Melbourne Track Club would also be in with a shout!

Gregson 3.32 SB, Matthews 3.35 SB, Paul Robinson 3.34/5 PR (although his SB is only 3.44 due to injury), Sam Mcentee 3.36 PR (ran a 3.57 mile during the aussie track season), Jordy Williamsz 3.36 PR

Seriously? I don't even think they are a registered club. And no one in that group competes under the name. Just a Facebook group and other social media sites.

Not a group that should be compared to actual established clubs. Or we can start getting really creative and just call Nike a track club and cherry pick names from that base.

I forgot about them but they'd definitely be in there. Greyson and Matthews are in the shape of their life while Mcentee is running decently well. The only problem is I'm not sure if Williams or Robinson would even be in sub-4 shape.

Mo Farah- 3:28 1500m

Centro- 3:30 1500m

Galen- 3:50 mile

Levins- 3:36/3:54 1500m/Mile

If we are talking about in each athletes top fitness then obviously NOP

If we are talking about just season best, I'm not sure, BTC/OTC would drive a hard bargin

Yeah you're right Paul has struggled with injury this year, he ran 3.44 in Japan last week acting as the pacer and then finished the race FTW but yes he's not in shape. Jordy seems to be focusing on the 800m too so MTCs 4th man let's them down.

Very Nice Track Club - may not be a registered USATF club, but they are still a training group. Some of the group members are not from the US, which is most likely why they have not bothered to register it with USATF and therefore why the members do not compete under the name. That said if you go by these rules, then only US citizens would be eligible for this race, which means NOP loses Levins and MO.

If you simply go by training groups without any stupid rules of whether the club is registered or not, I think the discussion gets much more interesting.

NOP puts Farah on the third leg so he can make up any ground needed to be close to the lead, if not leading, when handing off to Centro. Nobody on this list, including Farah could beat Centro at a mile right now. It would probably close up from which means it would turn tactical, and that is all the better for Centro.

^ this is taking into consideration current fitness and event specific training.

If we're giving time for each group to train for the mile.... Well then it would be NOP and it would be ugly.

This. It always comes down to the anchor and nobody is beating centro in the last 200.

A team would have to have a big lead and a great time trailer as the anchor to beat them. But that wouldn't happen

If we're talking current fitness then we can't give Cam credit for his 3:54 mile. I mean don't get me wrong, NOP would still dominate, but with Cam's current fitness I'd say a 4:05 is more likely from him.
