I've been doing base training for the past couple months which has included tempos around 6:20. In my last tempo, I was able to hold below 6:20 pace for 5 miles. I plan to up my tempo pace to 6:10 and start workouts next week. The longer interval workouts that I plan to start are repeat miles and probably some 800s for the other. At what pace do you all think my intervals ought to be done? Is 5:45 too slow/fast for the miles?
