I could see kids not getting runs in because they just walked 12 miles that day slowly, catching digital monsters.
Or in xc carrying their phones with them at practice and stopping periodically on runs to play the game.

It won't be a problem if the coach tells the kids that they can't run with their phones.

This has been my rule for years already during the season. The mania over this will die down by the start of the school year and only the diehards will be left.
It's still new the hype will die down soon, no worries.
3/10.
Pokemon go will be done in about a week. The rage is already slowing

THIS. It's fcking lame.
Kids who are training right now are dedicated enough that they won't be distracted by Pokemon. Kids who are distracted enough by Pokemon to skip runs probably weren't going to run much over the summer anyway.
Not sure why it would be an issue during the season. Even if the fad somehow manages to linger that long, the kids are at practice training with the team. If you're really worried that your kids are going to bail on workout to catch Pokemen (is that the plural of Pokemon?), then your team's lack of discipline is a fundamental issue that extends way beyond the Pokemon game.
You should encourage your runners to do PoGo. Their 2nd run of the day could be poke runs. Run, catch a Pokemon, run some more. Easy way to increase doubles.
I'm more worried about jackasses playing the game and not payiby attention getting in the way of runners.
No.

Is that something that worries you?
You're a heart attack waiting to happen.
I pushed 4 pokegoers out of the way on my run yesterday. Then I realized I had happened upon a 5k race.
