Has to be Felix - 4th in both the 200 and 400 by 0.01 seconds, missing both teams.

Wtf are you talking about Felix won the 400 in under 50 seconds
It's time we DEVASTATE this stale LRC phrase.
How could it not be Johnny Dutch?

Johnny Dutch on his finish at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Ryan Hill. The guy ran amazingly well at World Indoors.

There were more than just distance athletes at these Trials. It is not Hasay, True, Montano...come on guys. See the whole sport.
The two who are going home most "devastated" are Keni Harrison (No. 1 in the world, had legitimate shot at WR) and Tia Brooks (won a DL meet this season, ranked No. 2 in the world).
Entire team Hoka, since their crappy shoes couldn't get a single person on the team in any event.

True.
Harrison DOMINATED this year and was #1 in the World.
Mary Cain. Although written off early in the season, her more recent interviews indicated she was rounding into form just in time for the trials. The hope was that she would be in a position to pop a ~4:03 and if not win the trials outright at least make her first Olympic team. Unfortunately it was not to be. Keep working for 2020, Mary!
Wallace Spearmon & Walter Dix

Amanda Eccleston. misses the team by .03. She was obviously devastated but still classy in her post race interview.
Her interview defines classy and resilient. It's definitely worth a look.
The maid who had to clean rojo's room.
Ryan Hill. After blowing the doors off indoors he was expected to make it comfortably.
I'd put Dutch near the top - good lead with 50m left. And, unlike the regular 400, there's no relay spot to console himself with. Plus, he was running unattached. Olympic team would have certainly meant a contract. Maybe he'll still get one, but his asking price is less now.
Little has hugely disappointing, but she's 21. She can take some solace in that and simply learn from this - nothing is guaranteed. She should, if she stays healthy and focused, have several world championships, major meets, and an Olympics ahead of her. She didn't even make the final, which somehow seems less devastating that finishing 4th.
Kenni Harrison and Johnny Dutch.
Aries Merrit. Defending Olympic Champ, record holder, and after everything he has been through he deserved to go. 4th place is rough. After him probably Dutch. Then any girl 100 hurdler who didn't make it as the event is so deep. Honestly, I do not include Ben True, Ryan Hill, or Leo Manzano in this. They were all hurt at one point this winter/spring and having less than ideal training is not conducive to Olympic births. I was surprised to see Ben even try for the 10 when he got hurt and later ran that 3:36. Figured he just crushed the speed quick to get back in shape and wouldn't have it in the 10k, looks like I was right. Hill was a douche during indoors saying how he could win USAs any way he wanted blah blah so this is just karma. And Leo runs like shit every year and pulls something out of his ass at USAs/OT, at some point that's not going to work.
Eric Jenkins, he was so close in the 5k. Just a tenth behind. Shame really not a single American in representing the United States in the 5k
Those who were supposedly so great in high school that college would be a waste of time for them: Cain and Efraimson
