That's one fast Mexican-American!
What a fun race to watch. Looks nothing like a hurdler. Kills everyone in front of the hometown fans. Just awesome.
Hope he sucks just enough in football that the NFL passes on him and he devotes himself full time to the hurdles. And remember, he accomplished all of this after a football-related knee injury. Amazing talent.

Just another good ole' clean Oregon sprinter
The NFL will take him on Athleticism alone, rather see him concentrate on Track though.
I would be curious to know what would earn him more money. Being paid as a low wage special team player in the NFL, OR, being a professional 110M hurdler with an Olympic medal to his credit.
Doesn't matter. Somewhat white-looking guy in black-dominated sports; he can write his own check.

He would have to be a great hurdler for a long time to earn more than a NFL player:
Lowest NFL Salary (Rookie Minimum) $435,000
Median NFL Salary $860,000
Average NFL Salary $2,150,000
Good!. I was pulling for him to win. I didn't get to see it. My dvr stopped right as they were getting into the blocks!
Yes also the dangers of playing in the NFL are much higher and league doesn't cover long term health care costs once you are out the league. The only dangers in track beyond fluke accidents are potential dangers from PED abuse and you have that to deal with in the NFL too.tycobb wrote:
