That's some pretty serious puncture wounds. Otherwise she's a cute little baklava.

I thought she fell in the 10K a couple of days ago and she still ran 32:27. I don't know what happened in the 5K but she finished on the same lap in front of one DNF and four DNS's. She has represented Greece just fine.
In other words, she DFLed and barely escaped being lapped. That sounds about up to Greek standards. Maybe if Hasay was in the race, Pappas would have come in next to DFL.
I have trouble understanding why so many people are negative on this website. This post is an example of extreme negativity that seems to come from jealousy.
If you had the chance to represent a country that you actually have ties to (as opposed to just being "bought") I believe all, if not most of you, would jump at the opportunity (I would). She is Greek and American, and she has Greek family. What is the problem with her representing Greece? She is the best 10k athlete they have, she has the qualifying times to compete at the top meets, what is wrong with that?
Kick 'em when their up, Kick 'em when their down!
this is a 5k, not an 800. Falling or taking a slight kick from a spike is no excuse..that doesn't add more than 3-10 seconds.

Pretty sure she either fell or was spiked. Pappas haters are so quick to pounce.

So when is she going to hop on a rocket to Mars? And hopefully for good!

Really they should rename Mars after her, and every other planet.
Who are you man? Just a pansy talking shit under a cloak of anonymity.

I think many of the negative posters are what psychologists call compulsive musterbators. They are convinced the world must be a certain way. Because the world is seldom how they think it must be. When they realize this, they don't think, "Gee, maybe I'm wrong." Instead, they think, "These people are even worse than I thought," and end up offended by pretty much everything that happens. Not surprisingly, this makes them bitter and unhappy.
And, as we all know, anonymous online forum + bitter, unhappy people = the perfect formula for nasty threads.
It doesn't bother me that she is slow or that she DFLs a lot, and I don't care if she wants to run for another country. I just don't like her massive ego and narcissistic personality. She's up there with Kara and Fleshman in ego, but without the good results that those other girls had.
It must hurt you to know that among people who don't follow distance running that much, she's probably the most well-known current distance runner. I've had multiple non-runner friends mention her.

She's less famous than the Kardashians and Paris Hilton, and also has less talent than they do.

Pappas is mediocre to sub-par at each of her professions. Maybe she should chuck the privileged attitude and concentrate on being good a just one thing.

POY
Some serious vitriol and hate being spewed here. Take a gut check on your anonymous nastiness.

Same with Fawn Dorr. Can't break 60 seconds in the 400h and B-level Canadians are beating her.

Describe her narcissistic personality. What are you talking about, exactly? Use your words.
