when was this?
when was this?
So he's not going to the olympics ?
He sucks anyway, who cares? Next!
Same question. Is he out of the games?

It just happened at the Canadian champs, top 2 spots are autos and then AC gets to pick the thirs or just take 2. No more then 3 with the standard so I'll
Assume AC will still take him...but just awful running for someone like him :(

Saladbar does it again....wtf....7th at CND trials.....14:16 with mo ftw...hard to believe how bad it's gotten...please for the love of maple syrup go back to the 160 mile weeks of slow jogging 6-9min miles and some hard workouts. If you were with Salazar since highschool you never would have even broken 8 in the 3k....I'm a judge fan please there Is still hope for 2020!
Perhaps it was those 160 miles weeks which have left him burned out. Sad to see. He ran a couple of great races indoors two years ago and a close 3rd in the Commonwealth Games. But nothing since then. He needs to find a new training situation.
This is a guy who won the Bowerman Award in college a few years ago.
He needs to prove fitness. Which he hasn't done. So I doubt AC takea him.
Sad to see how he got railroaded into going with Alberto by his sponsor instead of any of his previous coaches that knew how to handle him.
Definitely a fair idea about the 160 miles a week but one thing we do know is that before the 160 mile a weeks he was not a viable candidate for professional running. After the high mileage he has struggled...yes he has had good races like the 27:07 but was likely in that shape during his SR. year. The only thing we do know is he looked great at 160 and ran fantastic. One thing we do know is the more normal ranges of mileage doesn't seem to work for him, just my view, it seems like he has been living off his mega base and now it's fully evaporated. If it was the mega miles I would have to say probably when we got up to 190 miles a week that might have had a negative effect but the 160 he just seemed to vibrant all the time. Plus he has really
Only ever looked bad on the lower mileage....either way he's really only been cam MF levins under SUU
Absolutely agree
Not sure how they select 10,000m. It isn't a listed event they run at the trials so that would be his only other shot.
His final lap was 1:10+, whereas Mo closed in .56
He can still get into the 10km race walk, I believe.
I used to jerk off to this guy now he runs 70 second closing quarters smh....
I don't really blame his current coaches. I blame his college coaches for his lack of success as a pro.
They screwed up his development with the 160 mile weeks. Now he's burned out or his body is falling apart due to the years of stress and impact.
The goal is progressive overload - the gradual increase of training stimulus. Well when you're running 160 miles a week, how the hell do you progress from there?
Guys, Guys, he cut his hair it's now limp and straight....
i understand why people think the 160 miles a week burned him out. I just don't see that as the reason. Look what Salazar did to Luke P.
One thing that is clear is that both Salazar or the high milage could have been it. I feel that unless he goes back to the 160 miles a week and it doesn't work again then we will never know for sure. He even looked healthier under SUU....he looks like a rail now....
How many athletes has Shumacher killed in his time ffs...get your heads out of his ass...and if you have no valid info. that's documented why in the world would anyone take your word as to what's going on in their camp.
160mw, he'd be more than done by now...no one lasts at that mileage-just show me who's made a career out of doing that much throughout their career.
yah he can go back to that now have some success and claim he's found the secret; blah blah blah-it wouldn't last more than a year and break down.
Wait isn't Derrick done because he got lapped by Rupp yeah pack it in kid your done too. Jesus give these guys a break.
Nobody said he's done you retard, I'm saying he's racing like shit and that I would LOVE to see him race well again like he did under his uni coach. With shit for brains luke P would still be running 30 min 10ks. Your post makes it sound like you have dick for brains

Salazar it a cheating beach man without the run downs LEVINS need a real coach again!
Damn I remember 2 years ago at the Canadian champs he soloed a 1325 and then ran another fast 5k afterwards as a post race workout. I feel bad for him! Hope he gets things right. He probably won't go to Rio for the 5k, AC may send him in the 10 though. The Canadian 10k already happened and he did not participate but that may be irrelevant regarding whether or not selected for it in Rio.

I hope so, I just want to see him do well again! He is a blue collar HERO!
