She may not be Taylor Swift famous but I'd much rather have a beer with current 50k and 100k World Champion "jaguar1"

Not sure how anyone other than Malcolm Gladwell is even in the discussion.
Alan Webb.
Most amazing poster is probably Ed Whitlock.

Steve Cram always mentions stuff I've read on here in his commentary.
Most notable one I remember recently was him mentioning before a diamond league this year how "some people" think Kiprop is in 3:26 shape based on a recent workout that he allegedly performed...
Now that I think about it, Skip Bayless mirrored my comments in a few LeBron threads on ESPN First Take. Sound pretty far fetched, but I'm pretty sure he has ran every single day for most of his life and ran at least 10 marathons with a PR of 2:47. Wouldn't be surprised if he reads here on occasion, or even if he is one of the notorious trolls.
Famous or infamous?

Here's that thread, or one of them.
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=1444899Not that many people know who he is. I met him once, and I told a bunch of people. Some people thought it was cool; others were all "Who????" And yes, I concede some people I know are not that bright, but famous means famous across all demos.

In that era those were like Special Olympic records, right? The 1970s US was not exactly competing with the best the world had to offer.
Get back to us when you are in-range of an American running record.
I know several.
d2 track national qualifier/national class coach who regularly trolls here.
d2 national champ and regular troll.
I worked with one of the more well known and memorable letsrun posters. I discovered/knew he was the poster because he was repeating the same stuff. Lol

So, "very good US runner" doesn't do him justice.

True elites posting here have been Henry and Marius.
Malmo was ST bronze medalist in the 77 World Cup and ranked top ten in the world that year.
What is the World Cup? I know the soccer World Cup.

Yes, very famous.

I know that over on slowtwitch, there are a number of professional triathletes, coaches, and sponsors that regularly post. Of course, with registered names, that sort of thing is much easily tracked, investigated, and followed over there.
Are there any real pros that are known to regularly post on LRC? (Or were there ever any, back in the good ole days of LRC that I hear the old folks pining for?)
I realize that my question invites some trollish answers, but I am interested in a serious answer here and there, too :-)

Webb has never posted here.

I assumed this thread was asking about people famous outside of running because runners post here all the time. Nick Willis just posted here a couple weeks ago and no one noticed.

As if you know for sure. lol I know Steve Scott has posted here under another name.

Your brother Famous is much more well-known. Love his chocolate chip cookies.
