The guy who many of us felt did not belong in the race takes fourth.
I'm still a big Erik Sowinski fan.

Looks like his confidence expressed in the interview was well-founded. Staggering improvement. Jock is great comeback story in parallel. Nice to see him use a whole different strategy with success.

Impressive race by him. This is about his peak, doubt he will ever be a big dawg in the US. If I were him, I'd try and get it in tonight at the afterparty while his stock is up and the pickins are good.
Sowinski was very surprising, dude always has a solid kick. Loxsom was expected, he always crumbles under pressure.

So "staggering" it's amazing nobody is talking PEDs. Talk about obvious.

I guess that's a compliment in 2016. Please remember Engels is one of 4-5 HS kids to ever go sub-1:50 / sub-9:00. He is a total stud.

You're right. In a final with a bizarre waterfall start and the following MUCH BETTER 800m runners not in the field, he finished fourth: Shaq, Symmonds, Solomon, Brazier.
So his effort was about good enough for 8th overall at best. Try again.
And Engels GOES HOME DEVASTATED!!!
Dude ran 402 in hs and 338 and he's 21. God you're a moron if you say this is his peak
Villanova didn't win the national title because the best team lost in the sweet 16? Is this how your logic works?
